The Problem #
If you are getting an error while trying to upload your watermark from the admin -> configuration panel it might be because you do not have the proper permissions set. This is often the case when running Vidiot on Linux Ubuntu (Mate).
Possible Solutions #
Permissions #
Navigate to the location of the Vidiot program files using File Explore, Finder, Caja, or whatever app you use to browse files. Now navigate to:
vidiot-terminal/img/
and allow write permissions to the ‘img’ folder.
File Size #
It is possible that your image is larger than 200kb. Find a program like Adobe Photoshop and resave your watermark image using the export settings in such a program. You should be able to reduce the quality thereby reducing the file size. Don’t worry, your watermark will still look fine.
